6050202 Punching Position Adjustment (Sub Scan)

Adjust the punching position of the inner punch unit with the paper feed direction.

Perform this adjustment after performing 6050201 Punch inclination adjustment. If the punched hole is tilted, it may not be adjusted correctly.

The punch hole standard position differs depending on the model of the punch unit.

  • 2/4 hole model: Position 13.0 mm from the trailing edge of the paper.
  • 2/3 hole model: Position 9.5 mm from the trailing edge of the paper.
  1. Start the service support mode.


  2. Select [06 Individual Adjustment].


  3. Select the [Floor Finisher] tab.
  4. Select [6050202 Punch position adjustment sub-scanning direction].

  5. Press [Pattern Print].

  6. Press each setting item button to make the print settings.


    The parameters that can be set are as follows.

    One sheet of paper is required to output the adjustment pattern.

    Setting Items Selection
    Feed Tray C1, C2, C3, C4, Paper Tray, High Capacity Unit
    Available Paper Sizes A4 (Vertical), Letter (Vertical)
    Caution / 注意

    Make sure the paper orientation is as specified (LEF/Vertical).

    If the orientation is different from the specifications (SEF/Horizontal), the paper will be ejected without being processed correctly and the operation cannot be checked.

  7. Press [Execute] to output the adjustment pattern.
  8. Measure the distances #1 and #2 from the trailing edge of the adjustment pattern to the center positions of the left and right holes.
  9. Convert the measurement results #1 and #2 to adjustment values.

    • Adjustment value calculation method:   Adjustment value = Measurement result x 10
      Example) When the measurement result is 15.5 mm Adjustment value = 155
  10. Press [#1] and [#2] and enter the adjustment values #1 and #2.

    Input range of adjustment value

    • 2/4 hole model: 81 ~ 179
    • 2/3 hole model: 46 ~ 144

    Values outside the adjustment value input range cannot be entered.

  11. Press [Pattern Print] to reflect the adjustment values and output the adjustment pattern.

  12. Check the adjustment sample, and if the phenomenon is improved, press [Close] to finish the adjustment
    To continue adjusting, repeat from step 8.
