6040103 FIN Staple Position Adjustment
  1. Turn the power ON.
  2. Press [Execution].
  3. Press [OK].
  4. Press [Pattern Print].
  5. Press each setting item button to make the print settings.


    The parameters that can be set are as follows.

    Setting Items Selection
    Feed Tray C1, C2, C3, C4, Paper Tray, High Capacity Unit
    Available Paper Sizes A4 (Vertical), Letter (Vertical), A3, Ledger
    Number of sheets 5 (fixed)
    Caution / 注意

    Make sure the paper orientation is as specified (LEF/Vertical).

    If the orientation is different from the specifications (SEF/Horizontal), the paper will be ejected without being processed correctly and the operation cannot be checked.

  6. Press [Execution] to output the adjustment sample.
  7. Fold the adjustment sample in half and crease the center of the paper to create the center line of the paper.
  8. Measure the distance (A, B) between the media centerline of the adjusted sample and the ends of the left and right staples.

    When measuring, be careful not to confuse the front and back of the adjustment sample. (Make measurements on the front side.)

  9. Convert the measurement results (A, B) to adjustment values.

    Adjustment value calculation method: Adjustment value = Measurement result x 10

    Example) If the measurement result is 71.5 mm ⇒ Adjustment value = 715

  10. Press [A] and [B] to enter the adjustment values A and B calculated in step 9 respectively.

    Adjustment input range: 690 to 750

    Values outside the adjustment value input range cannot be entered.

  11. Press [Pattern Print] to apply the adjustment values and output the adjustment sample again

    The adjustment values are reflected by pressing the [Pattern Print] button. Note that pressing [OK] will also reflect the adjustment value, but it will transition to the menu screen one level earlier.

  12. Check the adjustment sample, and if the phenomenon is improved, press [Skip] to finish the adjustment
    To continue adjusting, repeat from step 7.
