Technology to ensure and improve print quality
Nozzle Verification Technology
Clogged nozzles of the Printhead are automatically detected when printing each sheet, and the print quality is adjusted accordingly. This technology ensures the high print quality printing as well as reduces the loss due to misprinting during high volume printing. There are seven ways of detection timing after initial ink charge, after flushing before printing, after paper between printing, after printing job end, before manual cleaning execution, after manual cleaning execution, and after paper jam recovery.
When nozzle clogging is detected, optimum cleaning according to the nozzle clogging rank is automatically performed. The nozzle clogging rank can be confirmed from the service status sheet and ERS.

If the nozzle clogging rank of FF or EF is displayed, the Printhead may be faulty.
If the nozzle clogging does not recover even after performing cleaning several times, check for Print Quality Problems, and take the appropriate corrective action.
BRS Technology (BRS: Banding Reduction System)
Excessive ejection of ink into the same pixel due to ejection characteristics of each nozzle and nozzle arrangement factors is corrected to make the image uniform on the printing surface.

Moisturizing Cap System
A technology that suppresses drying of the head nozzle (ink ejection part), which is one of the causes of poor printing.
While our previous products restrained drying by having the cap adhere to the head nozzle surface when waiting for printing, the new product increases the moisturizing effect by supplying and circulating moisturizing liquid inside the cap in addition to this technology.
Head Cleaning
A function that performs maintenance by ejecting ink to recover nozzle clogging. Three types of head cleaning (CL) are installed, and the head cleaning strength is as follows.
(Weak) CL0 < CL1 < CL3 (Strong)
When performing cleaning in the normal mode, the cleaning type is automatically selected according to nozzle clogging by the nozzle self-diagnosis system, thereby suppressing wasteful ink consumption. The cleaning can be individually selected and executed from a service support mode built in the main unit.
CL0
For clearing the slightly clogged nozzles. Applies pressure to the upstream of the Head Unit to push out the ink through the nozzles, and removes the air bubbles accumulated around the nozzles by wiping with that state. In addition, prevents air bubbles from entering when wiping

CL1
The purpose is to recover from moderate nozzle clogging. Air bubbles inside the head and nozzles are removed by flowing ink inside the head unit. Note that CL0 is also executed at the same time.
CL2
The purpose is to recover from severe nozzle clogging. By flowing ink through the ink circulation path and inside the head unit, air bubbles inside the ink flow path, head, and nozzles are removed. Note that CL0 is also executed at the same time.
Power CL
Perform CL2 twice in a row.
