  • The Cap Drive Motor rotated faster than expected.
Assumed cause
  • The Cap Drive Motor was driven at a high speed relative to the motor speed control.

Cap transport fixture

Has the cap transport fixture been removed? Remove and store it if necessary.
If the cap transport fixture cannot be removed, refer to Head and cap transport parts cannot come off.
Does the error still occur?

 Go to step 2 End

Check harness connection

  • Is the harness connecting the Cap Drive Motor properly connected?
 Go to step 3 Reconnect the harness.
3 Check the gear trains
  • Are any parts of the cap drive mechanism falling off or damaged?
 Replace the Cap Drive Motor Contact Epson local service representatives.
4 Replace the Cap Drive Motor
Replace the Cap Drive Motor.
Does the error still occur?		 Contact Epson local service representatives. End
