Occurrence condition
  • The ADF cover is open or the sensor is defective.
Assumed cause

  • The ADF cover is open

  • The ADF cover is damaged

  • Disconnection/faulty connection of the Cover Open Sensor harness

  • Failure of the Cover Open Sensor

  • ADF Board failure

Check operation of the ADF Cover

Close the ADF Cover.

Check connection of the Cover Open Sensor harness

Reconnect the Cover Open Sensor harness. (Reconnect the harnesses on both the sensor side and the ADF Board side)

  • If the harness is incompletely inserted or disconnected: Reconnect the harness that connects the Cover Open Sensor and the ADF Board.
  • If the harness is damaged: Replace the harness.
