ADF Post PF Roller 2 Paper Feed Sensor/ Reflector
Cleaning purpose
This sensor is composed of a pair of a sensor main unit on a light emitting unit / light receiving unit side and a reflector plate for reflecting light emitted from the sensor to the light receiving unit.
If the sensor and the light receiving unit are contaminated with paper dust or the like, the amount of received and emitted light becomes insufficient, which causes erroneous paper detection.
Position
- Open the ADF (A).
- Open the ADF reading glass cover (A).
- Clean the ADF post PF roller 2 paper feed sensor/ reflector.
Cleaning method
After visually checking the sensor and reflector, if they are dirty, clean them using a cleaning stick.
