  • 034846 Ink leak error 3 (Ink leak sensor 1)
Occurrence condition
  • The ink leak sensor 1 (Ink Supply Unit) detected ink leakage.
Assumed cause
  • The ink leak sensor 1 detected ink leakage from the Ink Supply Unit or ink cartridges.

Remove the case on the left side and check for ink leaks in the Ink Supply Unit.

Replace the Ink Supply Unit - Step 1
Remove the Ink Supply Unit, and check for ink leakage into the tray below the belt.

  • Is ink leaking into the tray below the belt?

Replace the tray below the belt

[Action]

    • Remove the Maintenance Unit.
    • Remove the Guide-Ink-Cap (1862753).
    • Replace the Tray-Belt-MD (1862666). (If necessary, also replace the Ink Leak Sensor)
    • Attach the removed components.

Replace the Ink Supply Unit - Step 2
Install a new Ink Supply Unit.

    • Install a new Ink Supply Unit.

Check harness and FFC connections

Are the harness connectors and FFCs that connect to the Ink Supply Unit properly connected?
If not, reconnect them properly.

    • Connect the connectors properly.
