Occurrence condition
  • The ink leak sensor 2 (Maintenance Unit) detected ink leakage.
Assumed cause
  • The ink leak sensor 2 detected ink leakage from the Maintenance Unit.

Remove the case on the left side and check for ink leaks in the Maintenance Unit.

    • Ink leakage from the Maintenance Unit to the tray.


  • Are there any ink leaks in the Maintenance Unit?

Replace the Maintenance Unit

When replacing the unit, clean the Guide-Ink-Cap.

[Action]

    • Remove the Maintenance Unit and check for ink on the Guide-Ink-Cap (1862753).
      If there is ink on it, wipe off the ink, or replace it.
    • Install a new Maintenance Unit.


  • Is the error resolved?

Check harness and FFC connections

Are the harness connectors and FFCs that connect to the Maintenance Unit properly connected?

If not, reconnect them properly.

    • Connect the connectors properly.
