Three Folding Position Inclination Adjustment (Hardware)

  1. Start the service support mode.
  2. Select [06 Individual Adjustment].
  3. Select the [Finisher] tab.
  4. Select [6040304 Three Folding Position Adjustment] and print the pattern.
  5. Press [Pattern Print].



  6. Press each setting item button to make the print settings.


    The parameters that can be set are as follows.

    Setting Items Selection
    Feed Tray C1, C2, C3, C4, Paper Tray
    Available Paper Sizes A4 (Horizontal), Letter (Horizontal)
    Number of sheets 1~3
    Caution / 注意

    Make sure the paper orientation is as specified (SEF/Horizontal).
    If the orientation is different from the specifications (LEF/Vertical), the paper will be ejected without being processed correctly and the operation cannot be checked.
  7. Press [Execution] to output the adjustment sample.
  8. Open the adjustment sample and place it with the mark facing down.
  9. Fold the adjusted sample along the bottom fold line (A).
  10. Make sure the folded side of paper do not extend beyond either end of the pattern.


    If they do, first perform [Folding Position Inclination Adjustment (Hardware)].

  11. Fold the adjusted sample along the upper fold line (B).

  12. Measure the adjusted samples A and B on a scale and calculate the amount of adjustment.

    Note / 補足
    • The conversion method from the measurement result to the adjustment value is as follows.
      • A：Distance from the left-fold line (B) to the edge of the paper.
      • B：Distance from the right-fold line (B) to the edge of the paper.
    • The formula and example for calculating the margin adjustment amount are as follows.
      • A - B　The positive or negative result indicates the adjustment method, and the numerical value indicates the adjustment amount.
      • 1 - 2 = -1　- adjusts by 1 mm.
  13. Raise the V2 cover (A).
  14. Remove the 2 screws and remove the cover (A).

  15. Use the two screws on the paper guide (A) to adjust the amount of tilt.If the calculated adjustment value is positive (+) :
    Loosen the screw on the blue arrow side and move the paper guide (A) in the direction of the orange arrow by the amount of adjustment.
    If the calculated adjustment amount is negative (-) :
    Loosen the screw on the orange arrow side and move the paper guide (A) in the direction of the blue arrow by the amount of adjustment.
  16. Fix the skewed paper guide again and adjust the amount of skew.
