6040104 FIN Wait Drum Adjustment

By adjusting the driving amount of the remove drum of the floor finisher, misalignment in the sheet bundle conveying direction is improved.

Check Point / チェックポイント
  • Only A4 (horizontal), Letter (horizontal), and B5 (horizontal) paper types can be improved by this adjustment.
  • Adjustments can be made for each 3-sheet stack and 2-sheet stack.


  1. Start the service support mode.
  2. Select [06 Individual Adjustment].
  3. Select the [Floor Finisher] tab.
  4. Select [6040104 FIN Wait Drum Adjustment].
  5. Follow the steps below to adjust a 3-sheet bundle.
    1. Press [Pattern Print].
    2. Press each setting item button to make the print settings.


      The parameters that can be set are as follows.

      Setting Items Selection
      Feed Tray C1, C2, C3, C4, Paper Tray
      Available Paper Sizes B5 (Vertical), Letter (Vertical), A4, LEF
      Number of sheets 3 (selectable: 2 to 50)
      Caution / 注意

      Make sure the paper orientation is as specified (LEF/Vertical).
      If the orientation is different from the specifications (SEF/Horizontal), the paper will be ejected without being processed correctly and the operation cannot be checked.
    3. Press [Execution] to output the adjustment sample.
    4. Using the edge of the first sheet of the adjustment sample as a reference, measure the deviation (A) from the edge of the second sheet.


      Check Point / チェックポイント

      When measuring, be careful not to confuse the left and right of the adjustment sample. (Make measurements on the binding side)

    5. Convert the measurement results to adjustment values.

      Adjustment value calculation method: Adjustment value = Measurement result  / 0.2
      Example) If the expected result is 1mm ⇒ Adjustment value = 5

      The sign of the adjustment value is "+" when it is shifted toward the binding side with respect to the end of the reference sheet, and "-" when it is shifted toward the opening side on the opposite side.
      Example) In the case of the figure below ⇒ The sign is "-".

    6. Press [Load second sheet] and enter the adjustment value calculated in step 5-5.

      Adjustment input range: -15 to 15

      Values outside the adjustment value input range cannot be entered.

    7. Press [Pattern Print] to apply the adjustment values and print the adjustment sample again.

      The adjustment values are reflected by pressing the [Pattern Print] button. Note that pressing [OK] will also reflect the adjustment value, but it will transition to the menu screen one level earlier.
    8. Check the adjustment sample, and if the amount of misalignment between the first and second sheets is improved, proceed to the next step.
      To continue adjusting, repeat from step 5-4.
    9. Using the edge of the second sheet of the adjustment sample as a reference, measure the deviation (A) from the edge of the third sheet.

    10. Convert the measurement results to adjustment values.

    12. Press [Pattern Print] to apply the adjustment values and print the adjustment sample again.

    13. Check the adjustment sample, and if the amount of misalignment between the 2nd and 3rd sheets is improved, press [Close] to finish the adjustment.


      To continue adjusting, repeat from step 5-9.


  6. Follow the steps below to adjust a 2-sheet bundle.
    1. Press [Pattern Print].
    2. Press each setting item button to make the print settings.


      The parameters that can be set are as follows.

      Select 2 as the number of sheets.

      Number of Feed 2 (selectable: 2 to 50)
      Caution / 注意

      Make sure the paper orientation is as specified (LEF/Vertical).
