Error code
  • 32 Duplex Sensor Unreached Paper Jam
Occurrence condition
  • Duplex Sensor does not turn on after the specified time has elapsed since re-feeding the paper is started.
Assumed cause
  • Foreign objects or pieces of paper in the paper transport path
  • The Duplex Sensor has a dirty surface, has fallen off, or is faulty
  • Duplex Roller 1, Reversing Roller 1 and 2 are worn out, deformed, have fallen off, or have a dirty surface
  • Duplex Feed Clutch has fallen off or is faulty
  • Reversal Drive Motor failure
  • Deformation or failure of the D3 Cover
  • Failure of the main unit motor that drives the paper feed mechanism
  • Mechanical control board failure

Check the operation of the Duplex Sensor

Does the Duplex Sensor respond with the diagnostic function?

Does the signal change between when the paper is placed and when it is not?

Check the Duplex Sensor for installation, dirt, and connector connection

Is the Duplex Sensor installed improperly? Is there dirt on the sensor? Is the connector not fully inserted?

Is the relay connector on the D1 Cover side not fully inserted?

 Clean the sensor surface, or fully insert the connector.

Replace the sensor

Check the Duplex Roller 1, Reversing Roller 1 and 2 for dirt and installation

Are the rollers listed in the “Assumed cause” section clean and installed properly?

 Go to step 5

Clean and reinstall the paper feed rollers.

Check the Duplex Roller 1, Reversing Roller 1 and 2 for deformation and wear

Are the rollers listed in the “Assumed cause” section deformed or worn?

 Replace the worn out or deformed roller Go to step 6

Check the Duplex Paper Feed Clutch

Check the clutch operation with the diagnostic function.

Does it make an operating sound (clutch connection sound)?

 Go to step 7 Go to step 9

Check the operation of the Reverse Drive Motor

Check the operation of the corresponding Reverse Drive Motor with the diagnostic function.

Is there any abnormal noise?

 Replace the D1 Cover (Paper, TRAY, UNIT). Go to step 8

Check the D3 Cover for deformation or failure

Is the D3 Cover listed in the “Assumed cause” section deformed or has it failed?

Replace the D3 Cover.

Go to step 9

Check the operation of the Main Unit Motor

Check the operation of the corresponding Main Unit Motor with the diagnostic function.

Is there any abnormal noise?

Replace the gear trains or the Main Unit Motor.

Replace the mechanical control board
