Check the operation of the CR Drive Motor
Check the operation of the CR motor using the diagnostic function.

  • Judgment: Are there any abnormal sounds?
 Go to step 4 Go to step 2

Checking the deformation and wear of the carriage

  • Is the wheel train of the carriage drive motor deformed or worn?

Replace the PW Sensor

 Go to step 3

Attach carriage drive motor and check connector connection

  • Is there any abnormality in motor installation or half-inserted connector?
 Fully insert the connectors

Replace the mechanical control board

Check the operation of the Paper Width Sensor 1 and 2
Check the operation of the Paper Width Sensor 1 and 2 using the diagnostic function.

  • Judgment: Does the signal change with and without paper?
 Replace the mechanical control board Go to step 7

Attach paper width detection sensors 1 and 2 and check connector connection

  • Is the paper width detection sensor 1 or 2 installed correctly, or is the connector half-inserted?
 Fully insert the connectors

Replace the PW Sensor
