Occurrence condition
  • LED of Flat Bed CISM is not lighted
  • Flat Bed CISM cannot read
  • Flat Bed home position pattern not found in range
Assumed cause
  • Scanner failure
  • SCN Board connection harness failure
  • SCN Board failure
  • Incorrect installation of the scanner in the printer

Check connection of cables

  • Check the connection between CIS and SCN board cable. Is the cable connected correctly?

Replace the following parts sequentially and check the status for each part

  1. SCN Board
  2. CISM
  3. SCN Unit

If the problem persists, contact EPSON Local Service Representatives
