6040302 SDL Staple Position Adjustment

  1. Start the service support mode.
  2. Select [06 Individual Adjustment].
  3. Select the [Floor Finisher] tab.
  4. Select [6040302 Saddle Stitch Staple Position Adjustment].
  5. Press [Pattern Print].



  6. Press each setting item button to make the print settings.


    The parameters that can be set are as follows.

    Setting Items Selection
    Feed Tray C1, C2, C3, C4, Paper Tray
    Available Paper Sizes A4 (Horizontal), Letter (Horizontal)
    Caution / 注意

    Make sure the paper orientation is as specified (SEF/Horizontal).
    If the orientation is different from the specifications (LEF/Vertical), the paper will be ejected without being processed correctly and the operation cannot be checked.
  7. Press [Execution] to output the adjustment sample.
  8. Fold the adjustment sample so that the short sections overlap.
  9. Place the adjustment sample with the mark facing down, and measure the distance A and B from the paper folding position to the staples (two places).

  10. Convert the measurement results to adjustment values.

    The conversion method from the measurement result to the adjustment value is as follows.

    1. Adjustment value calculation
      Adjustment value calculation method:  Adjustment value = Measurement result x10
    2. Determines the sign of the adjustment value from the staple shift position
      • A state shifted upward with respect to the folding position: Positive adjustment value
      • A state shifted downward with respect to the folding position: Negative adjustment value
        Example) If the staple is shifted upward by 3.5 mm from the folding position, the adjustment value = -35

  11. Press [A], [B] and enter the calculated adjustment value.

    Check Point / チェックポイント

    Adjustment value input range: -96 ~ 96 (-9.6 mm ~ 9.6 mm)

    Values outside the adjustment value input range cannot be entered.
  12. Press [Pattern Print] to apply the adjustment values and output an adjustment sample.
  13. Check the adjustment sample, and if the binding misalignment is improved, press [Close] to finish the adjustment.
    If the binding misalignment is not improved, repeat the adjustment.
