Ink Supply Unit



  1. Remove the 2 screws and remove the Left Cover Upper (A).
    • : 3x10DW
  2. Pull out the C2 cassette (A). (about 100mm)
  3. Pull out the C1 cassette (A). (about 100mm)
  4. Remove 2 screws and remove the Left Cover Lower (A) in the direction of the arrow.

  5. Remove 1 screw and remove the Left Cover Sub Lower (A) in the direction of the arrow.

  6. Open the front cover (A) and remove the Ink Cartridge (A).


    Caution / 注意

    Immediately attach the ink supply port cap (A) to the removed ink cartridge.

    If the ink supply port cap is not attached, ink remaining in the supply port may drip. (Ink cartridge )
  7. Slide the front decorative cover upper (A) in the direction of the arrow to remove it.
  8. Remove one screw, and remove the front cover upper (A) in the direction of the arrow while pressing the hook.

  9. Remove the two cables (A) from the connectors.
  10. Lift the FD frame (A), release the two hooks, and remove it to the left side of the product.
  11. Remove the screw that secures the ground wire (A).

  12. Route the ground wire (A) around the guide.
  13. Remove the 4 screws that secure the FD stacker Assy (A).

    • : 3x8D
  14. Hold the position shown in the figure and remove the FD stacker Assy (A).


    Assembly / 組み立て

    Attach the FD stacker Assy  (B) along the rail of the FD stacker guide (A).
  15. Remove the 1 screw.
  16. Remove the FD Frame Support (A) by sliding it in the direction of the arrow.

  17. Remove 2 screws and remove the FD Stacker Guide (A).
    • : 3x8D
  18. Loosen the 4 screws (red circles).


    Check Point / チェックポイント

    Loosen the 2 screws (A) by inserting a screwdriver through the holes circled in blue.

    The screw cannot be removed because it has anti-removal measures.
  19. Lift the FD cover (A) and remove the FD cover (A) from the two tabs on the frame.
  20. Lift the FD cover (A) toward the head unit (B) and remove it.


    Caution / 注意

    When lifting the FD cover (A), be careful not to damage the connecting part (C) of the ink tube (B).
    Assembly / 組み立て

    When installing the FD cover (A), make sure that the 3 tabs on the frame are inserted into the FD cover (A).
  21. Remove 4 screws and remove the Ink Cartridge Front Cover  (A).

  22. Remove one hook each and remove two tube retainers (A).


    Check Point / チェックポイント

    Insert your fingers into the hooks of the tube retainer (A) from the left and right sides and lift it in the direction of the arrow to remove the hooks.
  23. Remove 2 screws and remove the selector joint (A).

  24. Remove 4 screws and remove the Handle Frame Assy (A) in the direction of the arrow.

  25. Remove the Film (A).


    Assembly / 組み立て

    If the film (A) is removed, it cannot be reused because the adhesive strength of the double-sided tape weakens.
  26. Loosen the 4 screws that secure the ink supply tubes of the printhead.



    Assembly / 組み立て

    If there is ink on the product during assembly, wipe it off with cloth etc.
    Check Point / チェックポイント

    The four screws that secure the ink supply tubes cannot be removed because they have retaining parts.



  27. Attach two protective caps (A) to the connection parts of the ink supply tubes.

    Note / 補足
    • Attach the protective cap as shown below.



  28. Remove the 2 cables (A) from the relay connector and release them from the clamp.
  29. Remove the 3 FFCs (A) from connectors. (AM-M5500: 2FFCs)


    Caution / 注意
    • If the FFC is not inserted when the power is turned on after assembly, a fatal error (034855) will occur. Please note that this error will not be resolved unless service support mode No.5010201 is executed.
  30. Remove 3 screws.

    Assembly / 組み立て

    Tighten the screw together with the ground wire (A).
  31. Remove 3 screws. (S1:, S14:）

    • : 3x8DW
  32. Remove the ink supply unit (A) from the front.


    Assembly / 組み立て

    If there is ink on the product during assembly, wipe it off with cloth etc.

    The four screws that secure the ink supply tubes cannot be removed because they have retaining parts.

    When you bring back a defective parts, wipe off a small amount of ink that has accumulated in the connection port (needle) with the I/C with a cloth etc.
