High Capacity Unit
Overview
High capacity paper feed unit consists of the following two elements.
- Paper lift-up mechanism
- Paper feed mechanism
Paper lift-up mechanism
The paper set on the bottom plate (6) is lifted by a wire connected to the bottom plate (6) by the PF lift motor and wound through a reel, which raises the bottom plate (6) and pushes each roller (1/ 2/3) to enable paper feeding. The presence or absence of paper is detected by a paper detection sensor (11).
Paper feed mechanism
Paper feed operation is performed by three types of rollers for the set paper. Retard roller separates the sheets one by one to prevent double feeding. Each roller drives the PF motor through the PF paper feed clutch.
