Paper size mismatch (Physical size error/Logical size error)

Detection condition
  • A paper jam occurs because the size of loaded paper is different from the setting on the printer. (Physical size error)
  • Paper size setting does not match the size of papers in the cassette. (Logical size error)

Check the shape of the Cassette Paper Size Sensor
Check the shape of the paper size sensor on the cassette.

  • Is there any deformation or damage on the corresponding part?

Replace the Cassette

Replace the Paper Width Sensor

 Go to step 4

Check the installation of size sensor and connector

  • Is the size sensor installed improperly? Is there any connectors that are not fully inserted?
 Fully insert the connectors

Go to step 5

Check the auto detected paper size

  • Set the Side cursor and End cursor on the Cassette to the appropriate size. Is the intended paper size is displayed?

Replace the MCU board
