Punch Processing Part-related (Floor) - After replacement

When this menu is executed, the following menu is automatically executed.

  1. Turn the power ON.
  2. Press [Execution].
  3. Press [OK].
  4. Press [Pattern Print].


  5. Press each setting item button to make the print settings.


    The parameters that can be set are as follows.

    Check Point / チェックポイント

    Set the paper type to be adjusted in the cassette.

    One sheet of paper is required to output the adjustment pattern.
    Setting Items Selection
    Feed Tray C1, C2, C3, C4, Paper Tray, High Capacity Unit
    Available Paper Sizes A4 (Vertical), Letter (Vertical)
    Caution / 注意

    Make sure the paper orientation is as specified (LEF/Vertical).

    If the orientation is different from the specifications (SEF/Horizontal), the paper will be ejected without being processed correctly and the operation cannot be checked.
  6. Press [Execute] to output the adjustment pattern.


  7. Check the adjustment pattern, take the following measures according to the punch hole and paper conditions, and decide the adjustment value.

    • If the punched holes are tilted: Enter a value larger than the currently set adjustment value

    • If the paper is bent or the edges of the paper are damaged: Enter a value smaller than the currently set adjustment value.

  8. Press [Input Value] and enter the adjustment value calculated by step 7.

    Check Point / チェックポイント

    Adjustment value input range:  -20 to 20  * Values outside the adjustment value input range cannot be entered.

    • + adjustment value: Lengthen skew correction time.
    • - adjustment value: Shorten skew correction time.

  9. Press [Pattern Print] to apply the adjustment values and print the adjustment pattern again.

    The adjustment values are reflected by pressing the [Pattern Print] button. Note that pressing [OK] will also reflect the adjustment value, but it will transition to the menu screen one level earlier.
  10. Check the adjustment sample, and if the phenomenon is improved, press [Skip] to proceed to the next step.


    To continue adjusting, repeat from step 7.

  11. Press [OK].
  12. Press [Pattern Print].


  13. Press each setting item button to make the print settings.

  15. Measure the distance (#1, #2) between the paper rear end edge of the adjustment sample and center position of the left and right holes.

  16. Convert the measurement results #1 and #2 to adjustment values.

    Check Point / チェックポイント
    • Adjustment value calculation method:   Adjustment value = Measurement result x 10
      Example) When the measurement result is 15.5 mm Adjustment value = 155

  17. Press [#1] and [#2] and enter the adjustment values #1 and #2.

    • Adjustment input range: 60 to 180 (6.0mm to 18.0mm) * Values outside the adjustment value input range cannot be entered.

  18. Press [Pattern Print] , reflect the adjustment value and out put an adjustment sample.

  19. Check the adjustment sample, and if the result is improved, press [Skip] to proceed to the next step. If it is not improve, continue the adjustment.

  20. Press [OK].
  21. Press [Pattern Print].
  22. Select each setting items below on the print setting screen, and set the print settings of the adjustment sample.


    The setting items and setting parameters are as follows.

    Caution / 注意

    Make sure the paper orientation is as specified (LEF/Vertical).

    If the orientation is different from the specifications (SEF/Horizontal), the paper will be ejected without being processed correctly and the operation cannot be checked.
  23. Press [Execution] to output the adjustment sample.
  24. Fold the adjustment pattern so that the short sides of the adjustment sample overlap and the printed side is inside.
  25. Write the marking at the edge of overlapping hole of the adjustment pattern.

  26. Open the adjustment sample and measure the distance between the marking and the outline of the hole (#3).

    Check Point / チェックポイント
    • If the marking is written to the right of the punch hole, attach a + sign to the measured value.
    • If the marking is written to the left of the punch hole, attach a - sign to the measured value.

  27. Convert the measurement results (#3) to adjustment values.

    Check Point / チェックポイント
    • Adjustment value calculation method:   Adjustment value = Measurement result x 10
      Example) When the measurement result is -0.5 mm   Adjustment value = -5
    • If the marking is written to the right of the punch hole, attach a + sign to the measured value.
    • If the marking is written to the left of the punch hole, attach a - sign to the measured value.

  28. Press [#3] and enter the adjustment value.

    • Adjustment value input range: -10 to 10 (-1.0mm to 1.0mm) 　
      * Values outside the adjustment value input range cannot be entered.

  29. Press [Pattern Print] , reflect the adjustment value and out put an adjustment sample.

  30. Check the adjustment sample, and if the misalignment of right and left hole position is improved, press [Skip] to finish the adjustment. If it is not improve, continue the adjustment.
