60202 Density Calibration

Adjust the reading density difference between the CIS module on the ADF side and document placed side.

The following charts are used for this adjustment.

Chart setting direction
  • When setting on the document placed.
    With the chart printing surface facing down, the top arrow is set to the left side of the platen glass against the platen glass.
  • When setting the ADF tray.
    The chart is set in the A4 vertical direction, the print surface is facing up, and the top arrow is set in the paper feed direction.
  • When setting on a flatbed (FB)
    Place the chart paper with the printed side down and the arrow pointing to the left, aligning its corner with the upper left corner of the scanner glass.
Adjustment Procedure
  1. Start the service support mode.
  2. Select [06 Individual Adjustment].
  3. Select the [ADF/SCN] tab.
  4. Select [60202 Density Calibration].
  5. Set the chart on the document placed and press [Execute].
  6. Set the chart on the ADF tray and press [Execute].
