  • The drive motor is not able to rotate.

  • Power not turn on or motor cannot rotate at all

  • Check the ADF Unit for foreign objects.
    Remove foreign objects, if any.

Check harness connection

  • Is the harness connecting the motor and encoder properly connected?
    Reconnect the harness.
    Does the error still occur?

Check the gear trains

  • Check the gear trains of the ADF Unit for disengagement, damage, or abnormalities.
    Reassemble the gear train components.
    Does the error still occur?

Check the encoder

  • Check the encoder scale and encoder sensor for dirt and abnormalities.
    Replace the encoder sensor or scale.
    Does the error still occur?

Replace the other parts or components

  • Replace the following parts in sequence and check whether the symptom recurs after each replacement.
    (1) ADF Board, (2) Motor, (3) ADF Unit
    Does the error still occur?
