Occurrence condition
  • After the first pressurization (pre-pressurization), the pressure dropped to a level that could be judged as an air leak.
Assumed cause
  • Air leakage from air path in the Ink Supply Unit
  • Ink Supply Unit failure
  • Selector Unit failure

Check for air leaks in the air path of the Ink Supply Unit

Check the air path on the side of the Ink Supply Unit

  • Remove the joint and check to see if any foreign objects are caught in the sealing section.
  • Reattach the joint.

After the check is finished, execute the Failure Diagnostics Sequence 2.

Failure distinction code: 12 → Go to step 2
Failure distinction code: 03 → Go to step 3

Normal (Failure distinction code: 00) → End

Replace the Selector Unit

Replace the Ink Supply Unit

Whether the error has been resolved or not can be checked by whether the error recurs in the ink filling sequence 1 during the replacement process.
After the replacement is finished, execute the Failure Diagnostics Sequence 2.
