  • The ink leak sensor 3 (tray below the belt) detected ink leakage.
Assumed cause
  • The ink leak sensor 3 detected ink leakage in the tray below the belt.

Open D1 cover and then D4 cover, and check for ink leakage into the tray below the belt.

  • Is ink leaking into the tray below the belt?
 Go to step 2 Go to step 3

Replace the tray below the belt

[Action]

    • Remove the Ink Supply Unit and Maintenance Unit.
    • Remove the Guide-Ink-Cap (1862753).
    • Replace the Tray-Belt-MD (1862666). (If necessary, also replace the Ink Leak Sensor)
    • Attach the removed components.


  • Is the error resolved?

Check harness and FFC connections

Are the harness connectors and FFCs that connect to the Ink Leak Sensor for the tray below the belt properly connected?

If not, reconnect them properly.

    • Other connectors and FFCs you disconnected and reconnected

    • Connect the connectors properly.
