VBS over-voltage Error

Error code
  • 031008
Assumed cause
  • When COM-VBS is short-circuited due to failure of IC in the head
  • In case of short circuit due to Head Drive Board failure
  • Incorrect insertion of FFC in Head Drive Board / Head Unit (open / short)
  • Abnormality in the cable between the head unit and the main board/mechanical control board

Check the inside of the main unit (mechanical frame) for condensation.

  • Turn off the power and leave it until it dries (12 hours).*

      Does the error still occur?

Check Head USB Cable connection

  • Check if the USB Cable connecting the Head Unit is properly connected.
  • Reconnect the Head USB Cable
    Does the error still occur?
 Go to step 3 End of work

Check Head Harness connection

  • Check if the Head Harness connecting the Head Unit is properly connected.
  • Reconnect the harness
    Does the error still occur?
 Go to step 4 End of work

Check for scratches or deformation on the encoder scale of the Belt Unit

  • Remove the Belt Unit and visually inspect the encoder scale.
  • Are there any scratches or deformation?

Replace Belt Unit

  • Does the error still occur?
 Go to step 6 End of work

Replace Head Unit

  • Does the error still occur?

* : If the head is condensing, it is temporary. If the power is left on, the head unit will failure.
