Ink smear 1 (smear on printed side)

Assumed cause
  • Ink accumulation on the head surface
  • Head rubbing due to paper waving
  • Head surface rubbing due to PG abnormality
  • Bits of paper on head or cap
  • Path dirt

  1. Anti Static Brush
    The head surface is rubbed because the paper cannot be suppressed
  2. Registration Unit
    Head surface is rubbed against paper due to paper feed failure
  3. Belt Drawer Unit
    Head surface is rubbed against paper due to paper suction failure
  4. High voltage circuit board
    Head surface is rubbed against paper due to paper suction failure
  5. EJ Unit
    Ink smear in paper feed path
  6. HP Sensor, PG
    Head surface rubbing due to PG abnormality
  7. Head Unit
    Ink dripping due to head failure

  • since the envelope cannot be adsorbed, there is a possibility that one-sided paper stains occur. check first.
  • for envelopes, straighten the curl and place it in the Paper Tray.

Replace the parts/components to be checked one by one.

* : Mode 1: Print quality may be reduced due to changing the height of PG (head surface and print surface).
Mode 2: Mode 1 + printing speed is reduced to 1/4.
The rub reduction setting can be set from the PC driver / main unit panel, and the driver setting has priority.
Example) Even if the mode is set on the main unit panel, if it is off on the driver, it will be off during PC printing.
