Occurrence condition
  • The Head APG Cam Touch Sensor does not respond in mechanical initialization.
  • The Head APG Cam Touch Sensor does not respond in Head APG Cam Touch distance adjustment or the readjustment sequence. Or the adjustment value is in error.
Assumed cause
  • Head APG Cam Touch Sensor failure

  • foreign substances tucking

  • The rack was assembled with a single tooth out of place when replacing the head

  • The mechanical dimensions have changed over time.

Check harness connection and check the sensor for installation

Are the connectors of the harnesses connecting to the PG Adjustment related parts (motor and sensor) properly connected?

Is the sensor properly engaged with the mounting plate?

Go to step 2

Connect the connector properly

Install the sensor properly.

Redo the head machine attachment/detachment

5010105 Execute the Head APG Cam Touch Sensor menu, then remove and reattach the head.

(Do not replace the Head APG Cam Touch Sensor at this time. Replacement will be handled in Step 4, but it can be moved to this step if you want to save on time.)

Or, are there any foreign substances in the head operation path?

Does the Head APG Cam Touch error occur after printing a single sheet 4 times?

3 Check harness connection

Is the connector of the harness connected to the Head APG Cam Touch sensor disconnected?

Connect the connector properly

Replace the Head APG Cam Touch Sensor

5010105 Execute the Head APG Cam Touch Sensor menu, then replace the Head APG Cam Touch Sensor.
