Occurrence condition
  • Post-Reversing Paper Feed Sensor does not turn on after the specified time has elapsed since the target Registration Roller Clutch is turned on.
Assumed cause
  • Foreign objects or pieces of paper in the paper transport path
  • The Post-Reversing Paper Feed Sensor has a dirty surface, has fallen off, or is faulty
  • Reversing Roller 1 and 2 are worn out, deformed, have fallen off, or have a dirty surface
  • The Post-Belt Roller is worn out or deformed
  • Duplex Paper Switching Flap operation failure (solenoid failure)
  • Reversal Drive Motor failure
  • The Registration Roller Clutch has fallen off or is faulty
  • All Drive Motor, Belt Motor failure
  • MCU board failure

Judgment: Does the signal change between when the paper is placed and when it is not?

Is the Post-Reversing Paper Feed Sensor installed improperly? Is there dirt on the sensor? Is the connector not fully inserted?

Is the relay connector on the main unit side not fully inserted?

 Clean the sensor surface, or fully insert the connector.

Replace the parts one by one.

Check the Reversing Roller 1 and 2 for dirt and installation

Are the roller and sensor specified in the part to be checked installed properly? Make sure no dirt remains on the surfaces.

Clean the Paper Feed Roller

For installation errors, replace the Right Door Unit

Check the Reversing Roller 1 and 2 for deformation and wear

Are the rollers listed on the suspected part deformed or worn?

 Replace the Right Door Unit Go to step 6

Operation check of Reversal Drive Motor

Check the operation of the corresponding motor with the diagnostic function.

Judgment: Is there any abnormal noise?

 Replace the Right Door Unit Go to step 7

Check the operation of the Duplex Paper Switching Flap

Check the operation of the applicable Duplex Paper Switching Solenoid using the diagnostic function.

Judgment: Does the Duplex Paper Switching Flap switch?

 Go to step 8

Check the Post-Belt Roller for dirt and installation

Are the roller and sensor specified in the part to be checked installed properly? Make sure no dirt remains on the surfaces.

 Go to step 9 Clean and reinstall the paper feed rollers.

Check the operation of the Belt Motor

Check the operation of the corresponding Belt Motor with the diagnostic function.

Judgment: Is there any abnormal noise?

 Replace the Belt Drawer Unit Go to step 10

Check the Registration Roller

Check the clutch operation using the failure diagnostic function. Is the connector up to the Clutch half-inserted?

Does it make an operating sound (clutch connection sound)?

Replace the parts one by one.
