PWC PID overload error / PID reverse error / PID lock error

Error code
  • 000861 PWC PID overload error
  • 000863 PWC PID reverse error
  • 000864 PWC PID lock error
Occurrence condition
  • The PW Sensor CR Drive Motor cannot operate due to large motor load
  • The PW Sensor CR Drive Motor is rotating in reverse
  • The PW Sensor CR Drive Motor cannot rotate
Assumed cause
  • When the motor rotates in a direction different from the rotation direction (there was a sudden load abnormality, and the motor rotated in the opposite direction due to the reaction force)

  • Power not turn on or motor cannot rotate at all

  • The motor load exceeds the expected

Related parts
  • Harness polarity wrong
  • PW Sensor CR Drive Unit

  • PW Sensor CR Drive Motor

  • PW Sensor CR Drive Motor Encoder

  • The motor load exceeds the expected

  • Damage or foreign substances to rotating component part

  • MCU Board

  • Main Board

Troubleshooting

Step

Confirmation and action

YES

NO

1

Check for foreign substances

Check for foreign objects in the path of carriage movement for the PW Sensor CR Drive

Is there anything wrong?

Go to step 2 Remove foreign substances
2

Check a damage of rotating component part

Visually check the gear trains of the PW Sensor CR Drive mechanism for foreign objects, falling off or damage, and for proper belt installation, and reassemble if necessary.

Is the trouble phenomenon still occurring?

Go to step 3 End
3

Check the cables/harnesses that connect the PW Sensor CR Drive Motor and HP Sensor, the HP Sensor and MCU Board, and the MCU Board and Main Board

Visually check the cables/harnesses that connect the PW Sensor CR Drive Motor and HP Sensor, the HP Sensor and MCU Board, the MCU Board and the Main Board, and if there are any cables that are not fully inserted in the connector or disconnected, reconnect them.

Is the trouble phenomenon still occurring?

Go to step 4 End
4

Replace the PW Sensor CR Drive Unit

Replace the PW Sensor CR Drive Unit and see if the symptom described in the defect report occurs again.

Is the trouble phenomenon still occurring?

Go to step 5 End
5

Parts replacement

Replace the MCU Board and the Main Board, in that order.

Is the trouble phenomenon still occurring?
