Troubleshooting
Step |
Confirmation and action |
YES |
NO |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Check paper transport path Is there any foreign matter, paper chips, etc. in the paper transport path? |
Remove foreign matter, paper fragments, etc. | Go to step 2 |
| 2 | Check the dirt and installation of Paper Feed Roller Are the roller and sensor specified in the part to be checked installed properly? Make sure no dirt remains on the surfaces. |
Go to step 3 | Clean and reinstall the paper feed rollers. * Replace the D1 cover for Reversing Roller 1 and 2 and Duplex Feed Roller 1 and 2 |
| 3 | Check the deformation and wear of the paper transport roller Are the rollers listed on the suspected part deformed or worn? |
Replacement of applicable paper transport roller * Replace the Right Door Unit for Reversing Roller 1 and 2 and Duplex Feed Roller 1 and 2 |
Go to step 4 |
| 4 | Check the operation of the C1 Paper Feed Sensor Check operation of the C1 Paper Feed Sensor with the diagnostic function. Judgment: Does the signal change between when the paper is placed and when it is not? |
Go to step 6 Sensor is normal |
Go to step 5 Sensor failure |
| 5 | Check the C1 Paper Feed Sensor for installation, dirt, and connector connection Is the C1 Paper Feed Sensor installed improperly? Is there dirt on the sensor? Is the connector not fully inserted? |
Clean the sensor surface, reinstall the sensor, or fully insert the connector. |
Replace the Sensor |
| 6 | Check the feed clutch installation Is the feed clutch installed properly? |
Go to step 7 | Reinstall it properly. |
| 7 | Check the operation of the PF Clutch Check the operation of the feed clutch using the diagnostic function. Does it make an operating sound (clutch connection sound)? |
Go to step 9 | Go to step 8 |
| 8 | Check the malfunctioning clutch for connection Are any of the connectors connecting the clutch not fully inserted? |
Connect securely | Replace the parts one by one.
|
| 9 | Check the Duplex Paper Feed Path Paper Feed Clutch installation Is the Duplex Paper Feed Path Paper Feed Clutch installed properly? |
Go to step 10 | Reinstall it properly. |
| 10 | Check the operation of Duplex Paper Feed Path Paper Feed Clutch Check the operation of the Duplex Paper Feed Path Paper Feed Clutch using the diagnostic function. Does it make an operating sound (clutch connection sound)? |
Go to step 12 | Go to step 11 |
| 11 | Check the malfunctioning clutch for connection Are any of the connectors connecting the clutch not fully inserted? |
Connect securely | Replace the parts one by one.
|
| 12 | Check the installation of the Reversing Motor Is the Reversing Motor installed properly? |
Go to step 13 | Reinstall it properly. |
| 13 | Check the operation of the Reversing Motor Check the Reversing Motor operation using the diagnostic function. Judgment: Operating normally in forward/reverse |
Go to step 15 | Go to step 14 |
| 14 | Check the connection of the Reversing Motor connector Are any of the connectors connecting the motor not fully inserted? |
Connect securely | Replace the parts one by one.
|
| 15 | Check the All Drive Motor operation Check the operation of the corresponding drive motor using the diagnostic function. Is there any abnormal noise? |
Replace the gear train and All Drive Motor | Replace the MCU board |
