# ADF/SCN Unit

1. Remove the 4 screws of the ADF Rear Cover (A).

2. Open the ADF (A).
   
3. Insert a tool with a narrow tip such as a flathead screwdriver from the position indicated by the ∧ mark (A) shown in the figure, and disengage the 2 hooks.

   
   

   Assembly / 組み立て

   Align and attach the 2 hooks at the position indicated by the ∧ mark (A).

4. Pull the ADF Rear Cover (A) out in the direction of the arrow to release the hook, and remove the ADF Rear Cover.
   
5. Remove the screw and remove the Left Cover Upper (A) in the direction of the arrow.

6. Remove the 4 screws and remove the SCN Fixing Plate (A).

   Caution / 注意

   Be sure to completely remove the SCN Fixing Plate. If you attempt to carry out the operation without completely removing the screws and leaving the lower 2 screws removed, there is a risk of an accident, such as pinching your finger, when opening or closing the SCN.

7. Remove the screw and slide the Panel Upper Cover (A) in the direction of the arrow to remove it.

8. Remove the 3 screws and remove the Right Cover (A).

9. Remove the 5 screws and pull the rear cover (A) toward to remove it.

   Assembly / 組み立て

   Confirm that the rear cover is not floating. The positioning pin (A) may not fit into the hole (B).

10. Close the ADF.
11. Disconnect the cables from the connectors (A) (CN400/CN604) of the SCN Board, and release the routing.
    
12. Lift the Cable Holder (A) in the direction of the arrow and remove it from the groove.

    
    

    Assembly / 組み立て

    After installing the Cable Holder, follow the steps below to route the cables. While holding the cable holder (A), pull the cable (B) in the direction of the arrow, making sure that there is enough extra length to match the marking (C) on the cable with the bottom edge (D) of the cable holder. Connect the 2 cables to the connectors (A) (CN400/CN604) on the SCN Board. Route the 2 cables through the 4 cable guides and align the 2 markings (B) with the rib edges (C).

13. Open the ADF, and remove the 2 screws and the 2 spacers (A).

14. Close the ADF, and raise the ADF/SCN Unit (A).
    

15. Remove the 4 screws fixing the ADF/SCN Unit (A).

    Assembly / 組み立て

    Tighten the screws in the order shown in the figure.

16. With the ADF/SCN Unit (A) in the raised state, further tilt the ADF/SCN Unit toward the back side and release the screw heads from the holes in the frame, and then lift the ADF/SCN Unit to remove it.
