Troubleshooting
Step Confirmation and action YES NO
1

Check paper transport path

Is there any foreign matter, paper chips, etc. in the paper transport path?

Remove foreign matter, paper fragments, etc.

Go to step 2

2

Check the operation of the Pre-Head Paper Sensor

Check the operation of the Pre-Head Paper Sensor with the diagnostic function.

Judgment: Does the signal change between when the paper is placed and when it is not?

Go to step 4 Go to step 3
3

Check the Pre-Head Paper Sensor for installation, dirt, and connector connection

Is the Pre-Head Paper Sensor installed improperly? Is there dirt on the sensor? Is the connector not fully inserted?

Is the paper feed connector on the front frame side not inserted halfway?

Clean the sensor surface, or fully insert the connector.

Replace the Sensor

4

Check the Belt Drawer for dirt and installation

Is the Belt Drawer listed in the “Assumed cause” section clean and installed properly?

Go to step 5 Clean and reinstall the Belt Drawer.
5

Check the Pre-Anti-Static Guide and Pre-Anti-Static Roller for deformation and wear

Are the rollers listed in the “Assumed cause” section deformed or worn?

Replace the corresponding unit. Go to step 6
6

Check the operation of the Belt Drive Motor

Check the operation of the corresponding drive motor using the diagnostic function.

Judgment: Is there any abnormal noise?

Replace the MCU board Replace the gear trains (Belt Unit) and Drive Motor
