Ink leak check

An ink leak check is required when disconnecting the Ink Supply Tube from the Printhead.
The judgment method of the ink leak check is described below.

Check Point / チェックポイント

The jigs for the leak check (leak tester sheet front/rear) need to be attached during the part replacement work.

For the procedure to attach the jig, refer to " Printhead" and " Ink Supply Tube Assy".

Leak check procedure
  1. Pull out the jig for the leak check.
  2. Check the ink adherence state on the cloudy surface (B) of the jigs (A) to determine whether or not there is an ink leak.
    • Judgment Criterion of Leak Check

Check whether or not ink is adhered at a position of 2 mm or more from the leading edge of the cloudy surface of the jigs.

      • Pass (no ink leak)

When ink adherence is less than 2 mm from the leading edge of the jig

      • Fail (ink leak)
When ink adherence is 2 mm or more from the leading edge of the jig
Check Point / チェックポイント

If the result is determined to be a fail (ink leak), refer to “Printhead”, reassemble and perform the ink leak check again.
