# C08 HEAD INK DISCHARGE/C09 SUPPLY INK DISCHARGE (INK DISCHARGE)

#Overview

• C08 Head Ink Discharge
  With the purpose of preventing ink leakage when replacing a print head, discharge ink in order to relieve pressure of ink in the supply system from the head (however, unnecessary during normal head exchanges).
• C09 Supply Ink Discharge
  Discharge ink in the supply path leading to the print head from the ink supply unit and replace it with air.

#Work Procedure

1. Start the printer in the service mode.
   
   • Service mode startup
2. Select “C08 Head Ink Discharge” or “C09 Supply Ink Discharge” refer to “How to select items from the maintenance menu”.
