ADF LD Roller

  1. Remove the four screws, then remove the Rear Cover (Back) (A).

    Assembly / 組み立て

    Attach the two dowels of the Rear Cover (Back) (A) to the positioning holes on the Housing Left (B) and Housing Right (C).
  2. Remove the two screws, then remove the Rear Top Cover (A).

  3. Open the ADF/SCN Unit (A).
  4. Remove the three screws that secure the Housing Left (A).

  5. Lift the Housing Left (A) to release the two hooks on the front side of the Housing Left.
  6. Disengage two hooks on the rear side of the Housing Left (A), and remove the Housing Left (A).


    Assembly / 組み立て

    Insert the eight tabs on the Housing Left (A) to the positioning holes of the Housing Upper (B) and the RIPS Unit (C).
  7. Disconnect the SCN PS cable (CN799) and the SCN USB cable (CN100) from the Main Board.


    Check Point / チェックポイント

    When disconnecting the SCN PS cable from the connector (CN799) (A), make sure to unlock the connector lock (B) beforehand.
  8. Remove the terminal of grounding cable (A) from the frame of the Main Board.


    Assembly / 組み立て
    • Route the SCN USB cable (A) through the three hooks and the clamp (B) as shown above.
    • Make sure to secure the SCN PS cable (A) and the grounding cable (B) with the Polyester film (C).
  9. Open the ADF/SCN Unit (A).


  10. Remove the two screws and remove the ADF/SCN Unit (A) in the direction of the arrow.

    Assembly / 組み立て
    • Before screwing the ADF/SCN Unit, make sure the hinges are properly attached in place.
    • If the ADF/SCN Unit is opened when the hinges are NOT secured, the unit may be damaged.
  11. Open the ADF Paper Feed Roller Assy (A).
  12. Disengage the two dowels (C), one each on the left and right sides, while pressing the dowel (white) (A) with a flathead screwdriver (B), and then remove the ADF Paper Feed Roller Assy.
  13. Remove the two screws that secure the ADF Upper Paper Guide (A).

  14. Disengage two hooks (A), and remove the ADF Upper Paper Guide (D) from the ADF Cover (B) and ADF Sub Cover (C).
  15. Remove the screw, then remove the Fixing Plate (A).

  16. Pull the Paper Feed Roller Shaft (A) in the direction of the arrow.


    Assembly / 組み立て

    Set the groove (B) the Paper Feed Roller Shaft (A) on the bearing (B) of the ADF Upper Paper Guide (C).
  17. Remove the ADF LD Roller Spring (A).
  18. Lift the ADF LD Roller (A) to release the stopper (C) of the ADF LD Roller (A) from the ADF Upper Paper Guide (B), then remove the ADF LD Roller (A).
