SRPT PID excess load error (error code: 000641)

Cause

  • State in which load of SRPT motor exceeds expected load

  • State in which load of motor exceeds expected load, and motor does not rotate at all

Suspected cause

  • A foreign object entered the SRPT drive mechanism

  • Standard paper output tray failure

  • Damage to or foreign object trapped in SRPT gear train parts

  • SRPT phase sensor failure

  • SRPT motor failure

  • Main Board failure

Check for any foreign objects in the extension trigger on the standard paper output tray.

 Go to step 2

Remove the foreign object

Check the Main Eject Tray

Is the standard paper output tray working normally? Is the tray behaving normally with the extension trigger?

Go to step 3

Replace the Main Eject Tray

Check the SRPT gear train parts

Check the SRPT gear train parts to make sure that there is no foreign object on or damage to them.

Replace the main board

(If the problem persists, contact Epson local service representatives)

Reassemble the SRPT gear train parts.
