HDD Failure
HDD Failure Troubleshooting
The product checks the HDD for any abnormalities every time when it starts up.
If the product has already detected faulty of the HDD and the HDD has not been replaced, or failure of the HDD is detected for the first time, an HDD failure error is displayed on the control panel display.
The user can use the product without using the faulty HDD.
When the product fails to access the HDD during a printing process, and judges that HDD failure is possible cause of the access error, the product cancels the print job and enters into reboot standby mode.
Recover from failure after replacing TPM board
The product stores the serial number of the currently connected HDD in the system ROM.
If an HDD error occurs and a new HDD is connected to the product, the product acquires the serial number of the new HDD and compares it with the stored one, then detects that the HDD has been replaced.
The old serial number is overwritten with the new one and the product automatically recovers from the HDD error.
