# Lift Gear

1. Remove the three screws, then remove the Left Housing Assy (A) toward the rear of the product.

2. Remove the screw on the rear side of the product, then remove the Paper Jam Clear Cover Holder (A).

3. Disconnect the cable (B) from the connector of the Rear RIPS Cover Sensor (A).
   
4. Remove the four screws that secure the Rear RIPS Housing Assy (A).

5. Remove the Rear RIPS Housing Assy (A) pulling out the cable (C) through the hole (B) of the assy.

   Before reinstalling the Rear RIPS Housing Assy (A), remove the Paper Jam Clear Cover Sensor (B). After connecting the cable, install the sensor to the Rear RIPS Housing Assy.

6. Remove the two screws on each side.

7. Release the two hooks on each side and remove the two Ink Pack Cover Belts (A).
   
8. Release each hook and remove the two Hinge Covers (A).

   
   

9. Remove the Ink Pack Cover (B from the three hinges (A).

   
   

10. Move the Lock Lever (A) in the direction of the arrow to set the Ink Pack Cover lock in the released state.
    
11. Remove the two screws fastening the Left RIPS Housing Assy (A).

12. Remove the two screws fastening the Left RIPS Housing Assy (A).

13. Lift the Left RIPS Housing Assy (B) and rotate in the direction of the arrow while releasing the two hooks to release the interfering unit (A) behind the Left RIPS Housing Assy (B).
    
14. Remove the three ribs and remove the Left RIPS Housing Assy (A).

    
    

    Assembly / 組み立て

    When mounting the Left RIPS Housing Assy (A), mount by aligning the Lock Lever Shaft (B) and the receiving part (C).

15. Remove the two screws, then remove the Rear ASF Unit (A).

16. Remove the two screws, and remove the I/F Housing Bracket (A).

17. Remove the cable from the connector (CN7) (B) of the I/F Port Assy (A) while releasing the hook.

    

18. Remove the cable from the connectors (CN5, CN6) (B) of the I/F Port Assy (A).

    
    

19. Remove the four screws, and remove the I/F Port Assy (A).

      CN6: USB cable with white marking or white tape: Connect to "WH".

20. Remove the screw, and retract the Tube Guide to the back face side.

21. Remove the hole from the screw feet (A) and pull out the folded portion (C) of the PF Scale Protection Material (B).
    
22. Release the two hooks and remove the PF Scale Protection Material (A).
    
23. Remove the screw, then remove the PF Brush Assy (A).

24. Remove the two screws, then remove the APG Drive Unit.

25. Disconnect the cable (B) from the connector (A) of the sensor.
    
    

    
    

    Assembly / 組み立て

    Align the triangle mark (B) on the left APG cam (A) with the triangle mark (B) on the spur gear 14.4 (D) on the APG Drive Assy (C). At this point, make sure the mark (F) on the combination gear (E) can be seen through the hole on the APG Drive Assy (C). Insert the pin on the upper paper guide (G) into the groove on the release shaft holder of the APG Drive Unit.

    If the left and right APG cams are not in the correct position, the gears cannot be phasealigned. Therefore, ensure the left and right APG cams are in the correct position prior to installing the APG Drive Assy. With the power turned OFF, ensure the circle mark on the left and right APG cams are positioned below. If the circle marks are not positioned below, then the APG cam may be installed the wrong way up on the shaft. Therefore, check the orientation and reinstall. When assembling the APG Drive Unit, check that the triangle mark on the Left APG Cam (A) is positioned toward the APG Drive Unit, and that “6” on the Right APG Cam (B) is positioned below. * To align the APG Drive Unit and APG cam phases, it is necessary to lift up the shaft upon which the APG cams are installed.

26. Release the cable (B) of the PW Drive Shutter (A) from the clamp (C).
    
27. Disconnect the cable (B) from the relay connector (A).
    
28. Remove the two screws, then remove the PW Drive Shutter (A).

29. Remove the E-ring (A) and remove the spur gear 56.8 (B).
    
30. Release the ferrite core (B) from the clamp (A).
    
31. Disconnect the motor cable (B) from the relay connector (A).
    
32. Disconnect the sensor cable  (B) from the connector (A).
    
33. Remove the four screws, then remove the ASF Drive Assy (A).

34. Open the Front Cover Assy (A).
    
35. While pressing the two hooks of the hinge (A), remove the Front Cover Assy (A) frontward.
    
36. Remove the three screws fastening the Front Left Housing (A).

37. Release the hook and remove the Front Left Housing (A).
    
38. Remove the cable from the relay connector (A).
    
39. Release the SRPT Motor Phase Detection Sensor Cable (B) and the SRPT Cam Phase Detection Sensor Cable (C) from the clamp (A).
    
40. Release the SRPT Motor Phase Detection Sensor Cable (A) from the hook, and remove it from the connector of the SRPT Motor Phase Detection Sensor (B).
    
41. Release the SRPT Cam Phase Detection Sensor Cable (A) from the four hooks, and remove it from the connector of the SRPT Cam Phase Detection Sensor (B).
    
42. Remove the three screws, and remove the Stacker Driven Assy (A).

43. Mark (C) the location where the PF Belt Tension Stopper (A) and the PF Pulley Holder (B) touch.
    
44. Loosen the screw that secures the PF Belt Tension Stopper (A).

45. Remove the PF Belt Tension Stopper (A) feet (B) from the hole in the frame.
    
46. Release the hook by rotating the PF Belt Tension Stopper (B) in the direction of the arrow around the shaft (A), and remove the PF Belt Tension Stopper (B).
    
47. Remove the PF Timing Belt (A) from the PF Drive Pulley Holder (B).
    
48. Remove the cable from the relay connector (A).
    
49. Peel away the acetate tape (A) and release the two cables from the clamp (B).
    
50. Remove the four screws, then remove the PF Drive Assy (A).

51. Remove the two screws and release each hook of the Rear Band (A).

52. Remove the Dowel on the left side while pushing the Duplex Print Cover Assy (A) to the right side, and remove the Duplex Print Cover Assy (A) by removing the Dowel on the right side.

    
    

53. Remove the four screws and the screw, and remove the Rear Inner Housing (A).

54. Remove the Power Supply Unit Cable from the Power Supply Unit (A) while releasing the hook.
    
55. Release the Power Supply Unit Cable from the three clamps (A).
    
56. Remove the four screws and the screw, and remove the Power Supply Unit Cable Assy (A).

57. Remove the screw.

58. Slide the Left SC Cover (A) toward the rear of the product to disengage the tab.
    
59. Disengage the three tabs by inserting a flathead screwdriver into the gap between the Left SC Cover (A) and the ADF Unit (B), and then remove the Left SC Cover (A).
    
60. Remove the two screws.

61. Disengage the two hooks by sliding the Right SC Cover (A) toward the rear of the product, then remove it.
    
    
    
62. Remove the two screws, then remove the Connector Cover (A).

63. Remove the two screws, then remove the Right Housing Assy (A) toward the rear of the product.

64. Remove the two screws.

65. Raise the ADF Stopper (A) to lock the ADF Unit.
    
66. Secure the ADF Stopper with one of the screws you removed at step 1.

67. Hold the ADF/SCN Unit (A) with both hands as shown above, and open the ADF/SCN Unit (A).
    
68. Open the ADF/SCN Unit (A) and extend the support stand (B) as far as it goes, then support theADF/SCN Unit (A) with the support stand.

    
    

    Caution / 注意

    Make sure that the extended support stand is fixed with the two hooks, and the two triangle marks face to each other.

    Check Point / チェックポイント

    When closing the ADF/SCN Unit, hold down the switch on the support stand and raise the ADF/SCN Unit in the direction of the arrow to disengage the two hooks, then fold the support stand.

69. Remove the Front Cover Hinge Left (B) from the Dowel on the Front Inner Housing Left (A).
    
70. Remove the four screws, then remove the Front Inner Housing Center (A) frontward.

71. Remove the two screws fastening the Front Inner Housing Left (A).

72. Remove the Front Inner Housing Left (C) while releasing the place interfering (A) with the ADF/SCN Unit (A).
    
73. Release the Panel FFC (B) from the two clamps (A).
    
74. Remove the two screws and remove the Power Supply Unit Cover (A).

75. Release the two cables from the two clamps (A).
    
76. Remove the cables from the connectors (CN2 (with hooks), CN3, CN5) of the Power Supply Unit.
    
77. Remove the Power Supply Unit Cable (B) from the Power Supply Unit (A) while releasing the hook.
    
78. Remove the three screws and remove the Power Supply Unit (A).

79. Remove the two screws and remove the ASF Oneway Gear Assy (A).

80. Remove the E-ring (A) and remove the Lift Gear (B).
