Emergency Retrieval of Fax Received Originals (FAX to Memory)

Using the USB memory, urgently remove fax received original file (.PDF) that can not be printed.
The received fax original file is transferred to the "\ EPFAXRCV" folder on the USB memory (the folder is created automatically).  The fax receiving document is deleted from the product after transfer.

Work procedure

  • Europe models only require entering a PIN code before entering the ID (due to UK security restrictions).
  • The PIN code is unique and printed on the PASSWORD label.
    The location of the label is depending on the model.
    • EM-C800 : Under the ADF/SCN Unit
    • EP-C800 : Under the Front Cover
  • “PIN Input” is displayed in the ID input screen only when the PIN is required.
  • Workflow (Europe models)
    1. Check a PIN code on PASSWORD label.
    2. Enter a PIN code and press [#].
    3. Enter the ID and press [#].

  1. Start “User Special Mode”.

  1. Press and hold down the power button while pressing the [#] button from the power-off state until a message appears on the panel LCD.

  2. Enter the ID number and activate “User Special Mode”.

    Enter “2318”  when starting the User Special Mode.
  1. Press the [2] and [8] buttons, select “FAX to Memory” from the menu and press the [#] button to execute.


  2. Connect the USB memory to product when the screen is displayed.

    When the USB memory is detected, the following message will be displayed. Select the [#] to create the folder.
    (If the folder already exists in the USB memory, this screen will be skipped)
  3. "Storing" is displayed and the transfer is started.
  4. When the transfer is completed, the following message is displayed. Press the [Power] button to turn off the product.
