Emergency retrieval of received fax documents (FAX to PC)

Using a PCFAX, a fax reception file (.pdf) that cannot be printed can be quickly retrieved.
PCFAX reception is available on both USB and network. The fax received original file is deleted from the device after the transfer.

Work procedure

  • Europe models only require entering a PIN code before entering the ID (due to UK security restrictions).
  • The PIN code is unique and printed on the PASSWORD label.
    The location of the label is depending on the model.
    • EM-C800 : Under the ADF/SCN Unit
    • EP-C800 : Under the Front Cover
  • “PIN Input” is displayed in the ID input screen only when the PIN is required.
  • Workflow (Europe models)
    1. Check a PIN code on PASSWORD label.
    2. Enter a PIN code and press [#].
    3. Enter the ID and press [#].

  1. Start “User Special Mode”.

  1. Press and hold down the power button while pressing the [#] button from the power-off state until a message appears on the panel LCD.

  2. Enter the ID number and activate “User Special Mode”.

    Enter “2318”  when starting the User Special Mode.
  1. Press the [2] and [8] buttons, select “FAX to PC” from the menu and press the [#] button to execute.


  2. When the below screen is displayed, set up PC-fax reception from the product and a PC connected to the USB or network.


  3. After completing the PC FAX reception settings, "Ready" is displayed and the transfer starts.


  4. When the transfer is completed, the following message is displayed. Press the [Power] button to turn off the product.


    Caution / 注意

    • After the transfer of the received original file is completed, turn on the power again and turn off the PC fax reception.
