Starting Service Support Mode

Note / 補足
  • There are 2 starting methods.
    • Start from the power ON
    • Start from the power OFF
  • Case of starting from the power off, mecha initialization is not performed, so it may be possible to avoid errors occur for the mecha starting.
Start from the power ON
  1. On the home screen, long press [Home].

    • EM-C800 Series
    • EP-C800 Series


    Check Point / チェックポイント

    While long pressing [Home], do not remove your finger at all until the screen changes.

    Check Point / チェックポイント
    • Europe models only require entering a PIN code before entering the ID (due to UK security restrictions).
    • The PIN code is unique and printed on the PASSWORD label.
      The location of the label is depending on the model.
      • EM-C800 : Under the ADF/SCN Unit
      • EP-C800 : Under the Front Cover
    • “PIN Input” is displayed in the ID input screen only when the PIN is required.
    • Workflow (Europe models)
      1. Check a PIN code on PASSWORD label.
      2. Enter a PIN code and press [OK].
      3. Enter the ID and press [OK].

  2. If the starting succeeds, the keypad screen will be displayed. Enter the startup ID and press [OK].
    • ID : 98308
  3. The screen for the service support mode will be displayed.
Start from the power OFF
  1. With the status of Power OFF, press the following button while long pressing the [Power] button.
    • EM-C800 Series: [#] button
    • EP-C800 Series: [OK] button

  3. Press the following button and enter the startup ID.

    Increase the input number by 1 [2] button

    Move the input digit to the left [4] button

    Move the input digit to the right [6] button

    Complete input [#] button [OK] button
  4. The screen for the service support mode will be displayed.
