# Relay Cable (Panel to Main) (EM-C800 Series)

1. Remove the four screws, then remove the Rear Cover (Back) (A).

   Assembly / 組み立て

   Attach the two dowels of the Rear Cover (Back) (A) to the positioning holes on the Housing Left (B) and Housing Right (C).

2. Remove the two screws, then remove the Rear Top Cover (A).

3. Open the ADF/SCN Unit and remove the three screws that secure the Housing Left (A).

4. Lift the Housing Left (A) to release the two hooks on the front side of the Housing Left.
   
5. Disengage two hooks on the rear side of the Housing Left (A), and remove the Housing Left (A).

   
   

   Assembly / 組み立て

   Insert the eight tabs on the Housing Left (A) to the positioning holes of the Housing Upper (B) and the RIPS Unit (C).

6. Disengage the hook, and remove the Maintenance Box Cover (A).
   
7. Open the ADF/SCN Unit and remove the four screws that secure the Housing Right (A).

8. Lift the Housing Right to release the two hooks on the front side of the Housing Right, then remove the Housing Right.

   
   

   Assembly / 組み立て

   Insert the four tabs of the Housing Right (A) to the positioning holes on the Ink Supply Unit.

9. Remove the six screws, then remove the Housing Upper (A).

10. Remove the two screws securing the Cable Guide (A).

    Check Point / チェックポイント

    When removing the screws, if the screwdriver interferes with the ADF/SCN Unit, use a stubby screwdriver.

11. Peel off the CRCM FFC (B) from the CRCM FFC Sheet (A).
    
12. Peel off the double-sided tape at two locations and then remove the CRCM FFC Sheet (A).
    
13. Disconnect the cables (B) from the connector (CN20, CN51, CN56) of the Relay Board (A).
    
14. Remove the acetate tape (A), and release the cable (B) from the two guides.
    
15. Disconnect the two cables (B) from the connectors (CN74, CN80) of the Main Board (A).
    
16. Remove the two screws, and release the ground wire (A) from the slit to remove it.

    Assembly / 組み立て

    Attach the ground wire with the terminal (A) oriented as shown below.

17. Move the Cable Guide as shown below.
    
18. Disconnect the FFC (C) from the connector (CN42) (B) on the Main Board Assy (A).

    
    

    Check Point / チェックポイント

    When disconnecting the FFC (A), make sure to unlock the connector lock (B) beforehand. Close Open

19. Peel off the double-sided tape of the FFC (B) from the Frame Base (A).
    
20. Release the FFC (B) from two tabs on the Frame Base (A).

    
    

    Assembly / 組み立て

    Set the ferrite core (B) of the FFC (A) in the point shown below.

21. Remove the two screws, then remove the Right Panel Holder (A).
    
22. Release the shaft (C) of the Panel Assy (B) from bearing (A), then remove the Panel Assy (B).
    
23. Remove the six screws securing the Panel Housing (A).

24. Disengage three hooks on the Panel Housing (A), and remove the Panel Housing (A).
    
25. Remove the Panel FFC Cover (A).

    
    

    Assembly / 組み立て

    Install the Panel FFC Cover (A) as shown below. OK NG

26. Pull the Relay Cable (B) out from the hole of the Panel Housing (A).

    

27. Disconnect the Relay Cable (C) from the connector (CN1) (B) on the Panel Board (A).
    
    

    Check Point / チェックポイント

    When disconnecting the Relay Cable (A), make sure to unlock the connector lock (B) beforehand. Close Open
