Power Does Not Turn ON

Symptom
  • The printer does not turn on in spite of pressing the power button.
Suspected cause
  • Panel Assy failure
  • Relay Cable (Panel to Main) is not connected correctly or disconnected.
  • Power supply Assy failure
  • Main Board Assy failure
Troubleshooting
Step Check and measure Yes No

Check the Relay Cable (Panel to Main)

Check the following point about the Relay Cable (Panel to Main).

  • Is the Relay Cable (Panel to Main) connected correctly?
  • Is not the Relay Cable (Panel to Main) damaged?

Is the Relay Cable (Panel to Main) normal?

Go to step 2
  • When It is not connected correctly.
    • Reconnect the Relay Cable (Panel to Main).
  • When It is damaged.
    • Replace the Relay Cable (Panel to Main).

If the error still occurs after performing the above, go to step 2.

Check the normal panel unit

Check by replacing the panel unit with a normal unit (which works normally).

Is the phenomenon continuing?

 Go to step 3

Replace the Panel Assy.
(Refer to Panel Assy (EM-C800 Series)/ Panel Assy (EP-C800 Series))

Check with a normal Power Supply Assy

Check by replacing the Power Supply Assy with a normal assy (which works normally).

Does the symptom recur?

Replace the Main board Assy.
(Refer to Main Board Assy (EM-C800 Series)/ Main Board Assy (EP-C800 Series))

Replace the Power Supply Assy.
