VBS overvoltage error (error code: 031008)

Cause

Occurs when an abnormal voltage is applied to the head drive circuit.

Suspected cause
  • Head FFC inserted slanted
  • Printhead failure
  • Main Board Assy failure

Check the head FFC state
For head FFC, check the following items.

  • Is head FFC is inserted slantly?
  • Is head FFC damaged?

Nozzle condition is excellent?

Replace the following parts in sequence.

  • Printhead
  • Main Board Assy

(If the trouble is not resolved after replacing the parts shown above, also replace the head FFC. If the trouble is still not resolved, Contact the Epson Service Support department.)
  • When inserted slantly
    Reconnect the head FFC.
  • When damaged
    Replace the head FFC
