EM-C800 Series transport preparations

When you need to transport the printer, follow the steps below to pack the printer.

Caution / 注意
  • When opening and closing the scanner unit, take care so that hands and fingers are not caught.
  • When lifting the printer, two or more people should assume the correct positions as shown below. The printer may fall if lifted incorrectly or by one person, and your fingers could be caught when lowering the printer which may cause an injury.
  • Do not tilt the product more than 10 degrees forward or back while moving it. Failure to observe this precaution could result in the printer falling over, causing accidents.
  • When storing or transporting the printer, avoid tilting it, placing it vertically, or turning it upside down. Ink may leak.
  • Do not remove ink packs. Removing these may dry out the printheads, and possibly prevent printing.
  • Do not remove the Maintenance Box. Ink may leak during transport.
  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Make sure the power light turns off, and then unplug the power cord.
