Double feeding

Symptom
  • Multiple paper sheets are output at the same time.

Check the operating environment
Check that the operating environment is within the specifications.

Recommend using in an appropriate environment.

Check the paper

  • Check that using suitable paper (not paper already used for printing, paper).
  • Check that the paper guide positions are appropriate.
  • Check that the paper edges are aligned in the cassette.

Use suitable paper and load properly.

Check the settings
Is the paper size setting and the actual paper size appropriate?

 Go to step 4

Change the paper size settings.

Check the CR Unit

Check the related feed rollers as shown below are not worn out and they are installed correctly.

  • Check that the retard roller is attached appropriately (tabs and locked) and not worn out.

  • Rotate the retard roller and check that there is a load.
 Contact the Epson Service Support department.

Replace the retard roller
