Set guide sensor error (error code: 100044)

Cause

Shifts to this error if the document set guide sensor home position detection is not possible when driving the ALD motor in the CW direction.

Suspected cause

  • Set guide sensor failure

  • Set guide sensor harness failure

  • ADF Unit failure

  • ADF Board failure

Check the connection state of the set guide sensor cable

Check that the set guide sensor cable (CN4) is not disconnect. Is the cable connected correctly?

 Replace the following parts in sequence, and check the change in status of each replaced part.
  1. ADF Board
  2. ADF Unit
(If the trouble is not resolved,  inquire at Epson Service Support department.)

Reconnect the cables.
