REL PID excess speed detection (error code: 100025)

Cause
  • The drive time of the motor exceeded the set time.
  • When rotated in the opposite direction to rotation direction (There was a sudden load error, and the motor rotated in the opposite direction in reaction to it)
  • State in which load of motor exceeds expected load, and motor does not rotate at all
Suspected cause
  • Foreign object or jammed paper remaining

  • ADF release motor cable disconnected

  • Encoder FFC disconnected

  • ADF release motor failure

  • Encoder failure

  • ADF Board failure

Troubleshooting

Check for paper jam paper remaining and foreign object
Check that there is no foreign object or paper jam remaining in the document feed path.

Go to step 2

Remove the jammed paper or foreign object.

2 Check the connection state of the ADF release motor cable
Remove the Front ADF Cover Assy. Check that the ADF release motor cable (CN303) and encoder FFC (CN16) is not disconnect.
Go to step 3 Reconnect the cables.
3 Check the ADF release motor gear train parts
Remove the Front ADF Cover Assy. Check the ADF release motor gear train parts, and check that there are no foreign objects.

Replace the following parts in sequence, and check the change in status of each replaced part.

  1. ADF Board
  2. ADF unit
