CR PID excess speed error (error code: 000022)

Cause
  • State in which driven at unexpected speed (fast) for control.

  • The carriage is unable to move away from the cap during initial filling because the inside of the cap remains in a negative pressure state due to ink suction failure.  (Technical Information: TJ20-0001)

Suspected cause
  • CR timing belt detached or broken
  • CR motor failure
  • Main Board Assy failure
  • Decompression Pump Unit assembly defect/failure (In case of occurrence during initial ink filling)

Check the CR timing belt
Check that the timing belt is not detached or broken. Is the result OK?

Replace the following parts in sequence.

  • CR Motor
  • Main Board

(If the trouble is not resolved after replacing the parts shown above, Contact the Epson Service Support department.)

* If the problem occurs during ink filling.

  • Decompression Pump Unit

Reattach the CR timing belt.
