Troubleshooting
| Procedure | Check and measure | Yes | No |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Check the operation when blank pages are ejected (point: whether blank pages ejected or blank pages printed) |
Begins print operation (CR moves) |
Does not begin print operation (CR does not move) |
| 2 | Check the paper Check the following points about paper status.
|
Go to step 3 |
|
| 3 | Check the settings For paper settings and the print data, check the following items.
|
Go to step 4 |
Change the paper settings. |
| 4 | Check the network If the data does not arrive for 5 or more minutes after the print command, blank paper is ejected due to a timeout error. Does the blank print occur by internal printing (Status sheet, Nozzle check pattern, etc.)? |
Go to step 5 |
If printing wirelessly, print with a wired connection. |
| 5 | Check the Pickup Roller Assy/Retard Rollers Check the following point.
|
Go to step 6 |
If the rollers are not attached appropriately, reattach them. |
| 6 | Check the nozzle check pattern Print nozzle check patterns and check whether there are nozzles missing or deflection.
|
Go to step 7 | Obtain the information as follows from the service status sheet and execute head cleaning according to the nozzle missing state check matrix table.
* If nozzle missing is not improved, refer to Nozzles missing. If nozzle missing is not improved after performing the above, go to step 7. |
| 7 | Check of Main Board Check that there is continuity of the head circuit fuses (F700 and F701) on the main board. |
Go to step 8 | Replace the Main Board. (Main Board ) |
| 8 | Check the head FFC state Visually check the FFC terminals to make sure they are not bent up or damaged. |
Go to step 9 | Replace the head FFC |
| 9 | Check the Print head If the symptom is not resolved even after performing the steps above, replace the Print Head. |
