Home Position Detection Failure (Error code: 100016)

Cause
  • Regarding CISM of FB, the LED is not lighting.
  • Unable to read FB CISM.
  • Home position pattern on FB side not found within range.
Situation
  • When power turns on
  • When the scanner goes into low power mode.
  • When switching between flatbed mode and ADF mode.
Suspected cause
  • Scanner (CISM) failure
  • SCN Board connecting harness failure
  • SCN Board failure
  • Mounting defect to the scanner printer

Check the connection state of the cables
Check the cable connection between the CISM and SCN boards and turn the power ON. Does work properly?

Replace the following parts and turn on the power. Does work properly?

ADF/SCN Unit

*Since the CISM and SCN boards cannot be replaced, the ADF/SCN unit will need to be replaced instead.
