Check Point / チェックポイント |
Installing the Leak Check Jig is performed after ink filling is completed after parts replacement. For details on installing the leak check jig, refer to Installing the Leak Check Jig. |
Leak check procedure
- Insert the PET chips (A) for the leak check into the clearance (B) in the figure below.
- Pull out the PET chips (A) for the leak check.

- Check the ink adherence state on the cloudy surface (B) of the PET chips (A) to determine whether or not there is an ink leak.
- Judgment criterion of leak check
Check whether or not ink is adhered at a position of 1 mm or more from the leading edge (C) of the cloudy surface (B) of the PET chips (A). (Consider the result to be a fail if any of the two PET chips (A) for the leak check does not pass the check.)- Pass (no ink leak)
When ink adherence is less than 1 mm from the leading edge (C) of the PET chip (A) - Fail (ink leak)
When ink adherence is 1 mm or more from the leading edge (C) of the PET chip (A)
- Pass (no ink leak)
Check Point / チェックポイント |
If the result is determined to be a fail (ink leak), refer to Print Head and perform the ink check again. |
